SSC GD Exam Week Preference 2026; Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has released the schedule for the SSC Constable (GD) Examination, 2026 on 11th April 2026 along with week preference details. The examination has been scheduled in multiple phases starting from 27th April 2026 and ending on 30th May 2026 across various centres across India. The candidates who have registered for the SSC GD 2026 Exam can now submit their preferences for the exam week from 11th April 2026 (3:00 pm) onwards at www.ssc.gov.in.
SSC GD Exam Week Selection 2026 Starts
This year, SSC is giving candidates the option to choose in which week they want to appear for the exam to make the examination process smooth for the candidates as per their plans. The candidates can submit their GD examination week preference at the Staff Selection Commission official website www.ssc.gov.in. The preference submission window has opened from 11th April 2026 (3 pm), and the last date is 15th April 2026 (5 pm). All registered candidates are strongly advised not to delay and to submit their preferences well before the deadline.

How to Select Your SSC GD Exam Week 2026?
Candidates are required to log in to with their respective credentials on the SSC’s website and then follow the steps provided below to submit their preferred exam week.
- Go to the official website of the Staff Selection Commission (www.ssc.gov.in) on your phone or computer.
- Click on the login option on the homepage and click it.
- Enter your registered Registration ID and Password to log in to your account.
- Look for the link or button related to “SSC GD 2026 Week Preference” on your dashboard.
- You must give a rank to all 4 weeks- 1st choice, 2nd choice, 3rd choice, and 4th choice. Do not leave any week blank.
- Click the Submit button and take a screenshot or printout of the confirmation page for your records.
SSC GD Exam Schedule and Shift Timings 2026
The SSC General Duty Exam 2026 will be held in 200+ cities to conduct the exam for around 48 lakh applicants this year. The exam will be held in multiple shifts tentatively in 4 shifts each day. Candidates can check the expected exam schedule and shift timings from the table below:
